Ramadan for Young Hearts
Ramadan is a month of mercy, forgiveness, and drawing close to Allah – not only for adults, but for our children as well.
Ramadan for Young Hearts is a month-long online bootcamp designed to help children taste the sweetness of faith, understand what Ramadan really means, and build small habits they can carry beyond Eid.
Rather than overwhelm them with long lectures or complex expectations, we focus on short, engaging sessions that combine stories, seerah, fiqh, ʿaqidah, and nasheed in a way that children can enjoy and remember.

Ramadan With Sufuuf ♡ Nurturing Faith & Fluency, One Child at a Time ♡
Who is this for?
This program is designed for children roughly 6–13 years old (with flexibility), especially those:
Growing up in Western environments
Curious about why we fast and what Allah wants from them
Needing a structured yet light way to stay connected to Qur’an and faith during Ramadan
Whether your child is already studying with Sufuuf al-Khayr or just beginning their journey, Ramadan for Young Hearts is meant to support your family’s existing routines, not compete with them.
How the Bootcamp Works
Format & Weekly Rhythm
Each week of Ramadan, your child will benefit from a simple, steady structure:
2 live sessions (30 mins each)
Short, interactive classes focused on fiqh and ʿaqīdah, with nasheed and duff woven in to keep things light and engaging.2 recorded sessions (30 mins each)
Story-based lessons in seerah and character building that children can watch at a time that suits your family’s schedule.
To help your child follow along and reflect, we will also provide a PDF Ramadan workbook with simple activities, notes, and prompts that connect each lesson back to their daily life.
The aim is not to fill their days, but to anchor their Ramadan with a gentle rhythm of learning, reflection, and joy.
What Your Child Will Learn
1. Seerah & the Character of the Prophet ﷺ
Through carefully chosen stories, children will explore:
The family life of the Prophet ﷺ
His interactions with children, elders, animals, and neighbors
His habits in Ramadan – how he spent his days and nights, how he gave, and how he worshipped
Along the way, we highlight key traits such as loyalty, patience, and trust in Allah, helping children see the Prophet ﷺ as a living example they can love and imitate.
2. Character-Building Stories
These sessions focus on simple, powerful themes that young hearts can carry with them:
“Allah will never leave me” – cultivating reliance on Allah in moments of fear, worry, or sadness
“My parents’ happiness is part of my success” – helping children understand the virtue of honoring parents and seeing their pleasure as a path to Allah’s pleasure
Stories are told in a warm, child-friendly tone, so that big ideas feel close, safe, and practical.
3. Fiqh of Fasting & Adab of the Qur’an
These live classes introduce core concepts in a way that children can follow and enjoy:
What is Ramadan and why it is so special
The adab of the Qur’an – how we handle the Musḥaf, listen, recite, and respect the words of Allah
The meaning and significance of Laylat al-Qadr
Good deeds in Ramadan – kindness, charity, honesty, service
Basic rules of fasting and what harms its spirit: backbiting, lying, bad thoughts, spreading negativity
Because fiqh and adab can feel heavy for children, we intentionally weave in nasheed and duff to lighten the atmosphere, help them retain key points, and associate Islamic learning with warmth and joy.
4. ʿAqidah for Young Hearts
These sessions gently lay down the foundations of belief:
Who is Allah? What does it mean to believe in Him?
Why did Allah create me? What does Allah want me to do on earth?
What is the benefit of doing what Allah wants? Looking at dunya and ākhirah together
Dealing with tests and hardship – how to turn to Allah when things feel difficult, unfair, or confusing
The goal is not to “lecture” children, but to answer the questions that quietly live in their hearts:
“Why should I obey Allah? Does Allah see me? Does it matter if I try?”
What Parents Can Expect
Ramadan for Young Hearts is designed to support parents, not add another burden. You can expect:
Short, focused sessions that fit into a busy Ramadan schedule
Clear communication about what your child is covering each week via WhatsApp
A PDF worksheets you can print or open on a device to help your child follow along
A gentle, encouraging atmosphere where children can ask questions and feel seen
Your role is simply to provide presence: help them log in, listen when you can, and ask them what they learned. Even a few minutes of shared reflection after a lesson can leave a deep imprint.
